Is it possible to curate an entire fashion blog around pleated maxi skirts and dresses, whilst incorporating color blocking? At the risk of being one note, I may be doing just that. But I promise there's more :) I thought that this would be the perfect time to familiarize ya'll with one of my looks that was featured in October's issue of White Magazine. When I had originally bought the skirt, my friend had asked me where I would where this to, and I told her that this was something I would wear while running through the fields (I do that a lot apparently). This field was the perfect occasion to photograph this look, although I'm sure that my skirt is now damaged after getting caught on brushes and weeds. Luckily, we found a rock in the middle of the field to stage the shoot. Don't you love when mother nature cooperates with your superficial fashion shoots? The best part was that this field happened to be right in my backyard.
Yes, I live on a fucking farm.
But this is one of those pieces that transcends beyond fashion and into the realm of fantasy. It feels so whimsical and enchanted, yet so perfect for hiding fat thighs. Don't you love clothes that look chic and add some sort of functionality?
