ROXTHEFOX IS BACK!!!
Jacket: Choies.com/ Skirt: Zara/ Bag: Prada/ Heels: Kimberly/ Sunnies: Ray-Bans
Guess who's back? Back again... Tell a friend (or two?).
Blogsphere, I have returned from backsliding into the gates of Hell. Let us all join hands and share this moment of utter joy. What was meant to be a 2 week hiatus during my trip to the Middle East, turned into a two month hibernation period for your beloved blogger. And although you are still suffering from withdrawal symptoms and manic depression as a result of my absence, fear not, for roxthefox has now returned, in all her feminine glory. And this time, I'm here to stay.
Now, you must forgive me. In these past few weeks, I have been conversing with species who were literally fresh of the boat and well, type like a bunch of drunken chimpanzees who got let loose on a keyboard. Therefore, my English and my grammar, are horrid. So bare with me, blogosphere, because it will take me a while to get back into the groove of blogging, having spent two months touring the Middle East, performing my corporate slave duties, and well, stalking men on Instagram without any avail. And although I will tell you tales about my encounters in the Middle East, and how I met a man on Instagram whom I got involved with for a 48 hour period (only to find out that he was an imposter stealing another man's photos), I feel like we should concentrate on the outfit instead. Afterall, Choies is paying me to write this.
JK guys, Choies.com is not paying me. But they were gracious enough to allow me to pick an item from their website, because, well I'm a sellout who wants free clothes. So keep 'em coming. I decided to settle for the Burberry inspired mini-trench coat. This safari jacket is both elegant, and allows my shapeless body (unless circular is considered a shape?) to morph into the picturesque hour-glass figure. Now, I couldn't get the skirt I originally had in mind to pair with this jacket (and nor will I tell you what I had in mind because, well, YOU'LL STEAL MY IDEA?!?!?), but this classic pencil skirt procured from Zara added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the outfit. In hindsight, I probably should have ironed my skirt.
Living in bum-fuck Idaho doesn't always allow me to procure fashion forward items, therefore, I'm a pretty heavy online shopper. And Choies.com happens to be creme of the crop. I've seen several pieces from the runway being emulated on this website. Now, a lot of folks have complimented me on my Burberry jacket and I have allowed them to believe that this is, in fact, Burberry. Is this wrong? After all, mass merchandise retailers such as Zara and H&M occasionally copy designs from Moschino, Kenzo and Celine, and what have you. I suppose this is one of the things I love about Choies -- designer inspired high-fashion retail items, but without the designer price tags. With pending student loans and post-vacation debt, I'll take it.
On a last note, I know my re-launch post is pretty lackluster, but I promise, there are great things will be gracing the pages of roxthefox.com soon, including pictures from my trip. Be sure to check back for some more, because hey, I'm back :)
P.S. be sure to follow me on Instagram, because I have to impress someone, so help me out?!?!
